An Easy Way to Go Green with Reuseable Shopping Bag
Reuseable shopping bag is a bag made of fabric that has various sizes. In Indonesia, around 10.92 million of plastic waste is dumped by citizens a day. Using reuseable shopping bag when we go shopping rather than plastic bag will reduce plastic waste which is very harm to the environment.
First of all, plastic bags are a huge problem for environment. A plastic bags can take 15 to 1000 years to break down, depending on the environment. In a landfill, kept away from the environment that would help them biodegrade more easily. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, which has been collecting plastic bag statics for more that decade found thar 98% plastic are left to live on idefinitely in landfills or decompose inout oceans, where they leech toxins into the water and soil.
It is entimated taht about one hundred thousand animals that live around the sea die every year because they accidentally eat plastic. These animals are confused to distinguish their food from plastic bags that float in the ocean or other plastic particles. The plastic they eat blocks the digestive path ways of these animals and can cause them to die in starvation.
It is better for us to bring a reuseable shopping bag when shopping in the market. Indeen, sometimes it will be lazy and feeling old-fashioned carrying a personal shopping bag. However, by carrying a personal shopping bag, it can reduce plastic waste in the form oh plastic bags that produced every day by human. So, let's reduce plastic waste for a better earth.
